[SMOCT3] Round 1: Saturnalius + Marin (2)

OMFG. 23 full-color frames.
Coloring took me two full days to do (around 36 hours)
Drawing all the frames in my notebook took about 2 weeks

Better planning is so necessary next time
this pretty much consumed the last two weeks.


So anyway.
The conclusion to the thrilling battle between Sailor Saturnalius and Sailor Marin. I had thought of dragging it out a bit more, but I tweeked my wrist in kickboxing and I had 2 weeks. Yeah, not happening. So in the end, I had 23 frames, which was enough anyway.

I decided to do things a bit differently this time. The script is written by hand. No more odd fonts or covering up the artwork with text bubbles. They're already there.

I also didn't want to repeat the same audience background over and over again, so I found effects. Lots of effects and screentones. Adds a pretty nice background when I just don't want to repeat the same pixelated audience. Good for action shots. It really put a lot of movement and action into the scenes I was missing.

They really beat each other up this round. Don't worry, Marin's just fine. She just didn't take the fall as well as Saturnalius did. She may even get that new friend she's wanted :3
